De Blasio: SUNY in Violation of Judge's Restraining Order to Keep Long Island College Hospital Open

Public Advocate Bill de Blasio today demanded SUNY adhere to a Temporary Restraining Order he obtained yesterday to keep Long Island College Hospital open. Despite that order, SUNY has continued to attempt to transfer patients from the hospital and to divert ambulances from its emergency room. Hospital staff have contacted the police to enforce the TRO in response to attempts to transfer their patients in violation of the judge's order.
